Maxx and the Velvet Smoke perform jazz and American Songbook favorites in the St. George Theatre’s Molinaro Lobby. Doors open at 5:00 PM; show starts at 5:30 PM.

Formerly known as the New Dorp Restaurant Crawl, this longtime neighborhood favorite returns from 2:00–5:00 PM with food samples from participating restaurants, local businesses and live entertainment along New Dorp Lane.

Spend the day at Westerleigh Park with live music, art and craft vendors, face painting, children’s activities and more. The free festival runs from 11:00 AM–7:00 PM, with free pony rides from 12:00–2:00 PM. Rain date: October 3.
Free Community EventAladdin Screening & Sing-Along
The St. George Theatre presents the 1992 animated favorite with a sing-along, costume parade and Princess Jasmine meet-and-greet. Doors open at 5:30 PM.

The Staten Island Museum lawn becomes an outdoor gallery featuring work by local artists and craftspeople. The event runs from 12:00–5:00 PM.

October Events on Staten Island
October brings Italian cultural celebrations, family fun and a little Halloween magic to Staten Island — from Mount Loretto and Casa Belvedere to the Staten Island Zoo’s annual Spooktacular.
Italian Festival at The Mount
Catholic Charities of Staten Island brings its Columbus Day weekend feast back to Mount Loretto with rides and games, food, vendors, live music, beer and sangria gardens, eating competitions and family fun. Fireworks are scheduled for Saturday, October 10.

Casa Belvedere celebrates Italian culture with a weekend of Italian food, live entertainment, family fun and an exotic car showcase overlooking New York Harbor. Saturday runs noon–6:00 PM and Sunday noon–5:00 PM.

Halloween fun takes over the Staten Island Zoo October 17 and 18 from 2:30–8:00 PM. Enjoy spooky sights, creepy creatures, festive surprises and family-friendly fun throughout the Zoo. Costumes are welcome, and timed tickets are available in advance.
